NGO Website - World Wide Volunteer Site

CMS website for World Wide Volunteer, an online library about volunteerism and the information society. It has been created in view of the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS), which took place in Geneva (2003) and Tunis (2005).

The goal of this website was not only to include organizations in the preparatory process of a WSIS Volunteer Family, but also to offer an extensive online information resource. Our vision is to help provide voluntary organizations with a tool to develop their positions and strategies regarding Volunteering and Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs).

The WSIS provided an opportunity to discuss issues raised by the emergence and current development of the Information Society. Offering a new interactive approach, the Summit involved UN agencies, governments, civil society and the private sector.
