Gunthar produced the documentary video, DX-Aku, an interactive platform that enabled the public to communicate with the team during the Cordell Expeditions' expedition to Easter Island (1993). Gunthar has reviewed software for national publications. He completed world wide web designs, animations, graphics and data manipulations for a large range of groups.

BA Anthropology (Pomona College, California) where he founded Kai' ckul, the school's Literary Magazine. selected as California Arts Scholar in 1987, Gunthar currently resides in Oakland, California.
