Specialties: marketing, photography, languages (French, English, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian).

Prior to co-founding MCART, she has worked for the People Living with HIV/AIDS (PWA), the World Economic Forum, the United Bank of Switzerland and Merrill Lynch. For several years, she was a volunteer teacher at Université Ouvrière de Genève, where she instructed illiterate people how to read and write in French.

Viola is also the founder and director of International Conference Volunteers (ICVolunteers). She was the initiator, chair and co-editor of the International Symposium on Volunteering, closing event of the international Year of Volunteers (IYV 2001) that gathered representatives from 126 countries. A common message of the Symposium participants was presented at the 56th General Assembly of the UN in New York.

Born in 1969, Viola is a Swiss national and holds a Masters in Communications and Media, a Bachelor in Linguistics, Spanish and English. She is now working on a Ph.D. focusing on the role of volunteers in international cooperation, where she looks at definitions and their applications in a rapidly changing world.
